Spencer Markowitz, M.D.

Born in Detroit, the future Dr. Markowitz was appalled at the riots going on in the city and therefore promptly left for NYC, bringing his parents with him.

Life in the United States was then naturally uneventful through the '70"s and '80's until Dr. Markowitz started the '90's off with a bang by graduating from The Johns Hopkins University in 1990, and the New York University School of Medicine in 1994. After completing his residency in Comprehensive Internal Medicine at the University of Maryland Medical System in Baltimore, Dr. Markowitz moved to Northwest Indiana and, having met the lovely people of the region - and his wife - decided to stay.

Dr. Markowitz now continues to see patients with Aceso Visiting Physicians and Geriatric Care, bringing his 30 years (as of May, 2024) to help his patients with their health problems from the home to the hospital to the nursing homes, from Merrillville to Demotte, in matters of diabetes and other endocrinology disorders, strokes and cardiovascular disorders, Covid, Shingles, and other infectious diseases, and all other medical conditions which may trouble the lives of his patients.
